Visual Stories

A quiet corner of CaribDX where artists and storytellers reflect on the data shaping Caribbean life

Visual storytelling has always been part of Caribbean life — from oral histories and murals to poetry, carnival, and memory shared across generations.

Our Space

CaribData’s Visual Stories is a quiet space within CaribDX where storytellers and artists can reflect on the data patterns shaping our communities and environments. The stories draw from real experiences, collected insights, and everyday moments — not to persuade, but to mirror our lived realities.

Our Commitment

Each story is created by local illustrators, credited and compensated fairly, grounded in respect for Caribbean creativity and the artistic process.

Our Experiment

This space may grow into collaborations and print editions — or remain what it is now: a small, thoughtful corner for stories to rest.

No fixed direction. Let’s see where the stories take us.

Asia's Story

Diving Into Change

These three short visual stories offer quiet snapshots of how Caribbean people are experiencing a changing ocean. Asia’s Story follows a young scientist whose childhood reefs have faded, inspiring her research into marine resilience. The Fisher’s Story reflects the lifetime observations of an elder who has watched fish populations decline and livelihoods shift. The Community Story highlights how local sanctuaries and collective action can help damaged reefs begin to recover. Each story is drawn from real experiences and data—and invites the viewer to look more closely at what is changing beneath the waves. To read the real story click here.
